In 2008, McCabe Minerals assisted a major float glass company in all phases of identifying a sand deposit, securing the leases, proving the sand quality and developing a mining plan. McCabe further consulted on the engineering design, equipment selection and construction on this state of the art silica sand plant in Southeastern Oklahoma. This mine and plant began operations in 2009 and currently they are shipping approximately 300,000 tons of high purity silica sand to the glass, foundry and oil well fracturing industries.
