Henry F. McCabe, Chairman and CEO

Henry attended Oklahoma A&M (now OSU) prior to enlisting in the U.S. Army Air Force in October of 1942. After an Honorable Discharge in January, 1946, Henry was engaged in management and sales of oilwell production equipment for more than thirteen years.

In 1959, Henry made a career change and became V.P. and General Manager of Texas Mining Corporation, Dallas, Texas, which operated an oilwell frac sand plant and silica flour plant in Brady, Texas. Henry also served as V.P. and General Manager of Pulverized Sand Company, Riverside, CA, an affiliate of Texas Mining.

In 1967, Henry became President and General Manager of Delta Mining Corporation, Mill Creek, Oklahoma, a producer of chemical grade limestone. Since 1976, Henry has served as President of McCabe-Woody and Company. In 1995, following the corporate restructuring, Henry assumed the role of Chairman and CEO and continues to focus his energies on corporate development.

Verne L. McCabe, President

Verne, a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University and Master's degree from Central Missouri State University, joined McCabe-Woody as Sales Coordinator in 1976 following a 5 year career as a college professor in the field of communication and theatre arts. At McCabe-Woody, he held various positions of increasing responsibility, ultimately becoming an officer of the company as Vice President of Sales in 1983.

In 1986, Verne assumed the position of V.P. of Marketing with KMG Minerals, Inc., Kings Mountain, NC, a producer of mica, feldspar, silica sand and kaolin. His latest position was with the U.S. Silica Company, Berkeley Springs, WV, a subsidiary of US. Borax, as Eastern U.S. Sales Manager. Verne returned to the company as Vice President of Sales and Marketing in July, 1991, and was subsequently appointed to President in 1995.

Gary Rockel, V.P. of Operations and Engineering

Gary graduated in 1971 from Nebraska Technical College with an Associates of Applied Arts, majoring in Building Construction Technology.  After 12 years in the construction industry, Gary joined Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) a worldwide leader in the processing of agricultural commodities.  During his 14 years prior to joining McCabe Minerals, Gary held various supervisory and management positions in the milling and manufacturing segments of the flour processing industry. His last position was as Manager of Maintenance for Heartland Wheat Growers, a division of Farmland Industries, in Russell, Kansas where he was instrumental in the start up of this greenfield milling and gluten-starch facility. 

Gary joined the Company in 1997 as Manager of the Nebraska Granules Plant in Hallam, NE. In 2005, Gary was elevated to Operations and Engineering Manager and in 2006 he was made an officer of the Company, being appointed to Vice President of Operations and Engineering.

Larry P. Lee, Engineering Consultant

Larry graduated in 1964 from Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, Kansas with a B.S. in Industrial Technology, majoring in Design and Drafting. Larry joined the Dickey Company, Pittsburg, Kansas, a manufacturer of clay pipe, while a student at Pittsburg State University. During the 24 years he was employed by Dickey, his responsibilities included the following work experience: designing and detailing machinery; architectural design engineer, and making renovations for seven operating facilities. He was appointed Dickey's representative to work with the Clay Pipe Manufacturers Association in a research project to isostatically press dry clay pipe. In addition, he served for ten years as Plant Manager.

Larry joined the McCabe-Woody Company in 1987 as Plant Manager, later was elevated to Division Manager, being responsible for all activities in the Kansas operation. In 1992, Larry became an officer of the Company, being appointed to Vice President in charge of Engineering and Operations.

Larry retired from the Company in 2005 and continues to serve as a consultant to the company.
